Hi,
I finally got this tutorial up (I forgot my college offers webspace..duhh..)

http://student.dcu.ie/~harrisl3/yifm/images/animcomp.gif
http://student.dcu.ie/~harrisl3/yifm/firetut.html (http://student.dcu.ie/~harrisl3/yifm/firetut.html)
It is on creating realistic fire, without plugins, and without using gazillions of particles or really long rendering times in max. Instead it uses combustion to alter the look of max's particles.

It starts with (standard) particles in 3dsmax, but the tutorial is mainly for combustion. It covers some advanced(ish) colour corrector stuff and some other operators. You can follow along with it as I included the movie files (~1mb)

Hope you like it, let me know what you think/improvements

Ye I know, the college webspace was down yesterday for some reason. I hope it doesn't start acting up for me. Its back up again now though! Huzzah. Thanks for your feedback. I did a search for colorama too, it looks pretty cool, but i think i should get more familiar with discreet's colour tools first...

cheers
