The toothpick legs were actually just part of the concept. I don't think I like them either.

Here is my progress with the legs. I am glad I decided to add feet. How is it looking now? I am still early in the stages, but I would a appreciate a good solid critique to help me head in the right direction. http://www.geocities.com/bradbolinder/creature2.jpg

Looks wery good , and anatomi correct , if you ask me he look like a sea creature , maybe you can add those things between the fingers (dunno how they are called) than he will look alot better and give more detail to the feets :)

Thanks Dave,
Webs between the toes and fingers would look cool! Thanks for the idea, I will definatley keep it in mind. I haven't really decided what kind of creature this is for sure. I think you are right about it looking like a sea creature.
I am still shaping the muscles so I haven't spent much time on the feet. The head is still very simple, but will be fairly high detailed.

the tendons in the back of his legs are way too defined.
i also think where the shoulders meet the biceps shouldn't have that "lip" on the side.
