Is there a way to render more than one matte or mask layer in maya? I have tried using render layers but I do not get the results that I need. The problem with render layers is that it renders out the whole object. When I try to composite them together the objects do not interact correctly and there is overlappinp. I tried using black hole in the material matte options but this would be a very long process to go and change the textures everytime I need to render out an image with seperate masks for color correction. We just switched from cinema4d. In cinema4d all I had to do was assign an object buffer to the object and it would render out seperate masks in the same image. Any help would be appreciated, thanks
