Hey guys,

This is my first game based house model (an ongoing project) and I would like a little advice on painting the roof. It is currently set at 2500 polys (my max) and rendered inside Lightwave, using radiosity and a Lightdome...in the scene it is lit with one directional light and one point light. Do not mind the black color on the texture map, i am still trying to create that metal strip that you find on houses. Most of the elements on the model was cloned to save texture space...

The textures right now on the model is a 1x512x512. It will soon have a bump, diffuse, and specular map.

Advice and critiques are welcome by all means...i am struggling with the roof. The scene will be game based but in real time...

so far its just another dojo
so its hard to give you any advice or critic on what to work on. Tell us more on what you are planning on doing with it. Throw some of dem jap plants and trees in there or a weapon cabinet/holder thingy lol
some jap signs etc
lol basically what i am saying is that set it apart give it character

I would continue updating. My only crit now is the textures are too clean. Jump in photoshop (or whatever you use) and add detail, don't rely on tiled textures alone.

Cool, I will throw in some plants...

Basically, I will be using this dojo as a practice toward level modeling...most of the elements of the dojo are actually repeated so dirtying up some of the textures may be hell...unless of course I can just paint on some dirt and grime to break up the monotony of the clean textures. I already designed a weapon holder and weapons...(another separate element) but I am focusing on the dojo model...

I will soon add them in on another update...

Thanks for the advice....
