This is an architectonic design study of a modern glass clocktower. The work was inspired by Hugh Ferriss and the goal was to creat an atmosphere of large scale and hight. Alll crits welcomed and encouraged...

WOW no comments yet?
Outstanding attention to detail and lighting. More than a technical render this is a great piece of art
WOW! Great level of detail in this render!, How many it,s 3D and how it,s postproduction???
Great work guy.
The clock tower is amazing! And I liked specially the way you put the black foreground layer to balance composition.
It's a fine pic, no doubt!

thats a great amount of detail. the colors are great too. but i don't think you created a sense of scale. i think you need to add more familiar objects to compare it to.
Very GooD!
nice composition/color/feel
so is that a clock on the top right corner?

thanks everyone for your input.
Markski , good point and I have to agree. I was toying with the idea of having a 'repairman' on the ladder in the upper righthand corner leaning over to fix the 'number six' or something to help address the ambiguous scale issue.
ja3d, this piece is about 60- 40 , 3d to photoshop. The 2 buildings in the middleground and bridge are all modeled and the forground shape and background city are painted/ photo montage. I do most if not all of the color work in photoshop to help create more of a naturally painted feel. I also added 'haze' in photoshop by rendering out alpha channels of various architectural elements in Cinema. Thanks again for looking!
