"Like The Simpsons (http://filmforce.ign.com/articles/539/539467p1.html?fromint=1#) on speed (or an animated Monty Python (http://filmforce.ign.com/articles/539/539467p1.html?fromint=1#)) the show revolves around the Griffin Family – father Peter, his wife Lois, their daughter Meg, their son Chris, and their talking dog, Brian. Oh yes – and their baby son Stewie, who is bent on world domination.
Fast-paced and brutally funny, only the humor deficient wouldn't get a kick out of one of the sole network show to ever be resurrected and returned to the schedule years after its cancellation (credit the fans, DVD sales, and Adult Swim for that).
(In case you were wondering, they've currently written and begun recording the audio for 10 scripts, and have completed 2 animatics. Tentatively, it's looking like the show will be returning in May of 2005)
If that's not enough, fans have a CD, a direct-to-video movie (http://filmforce.ign.com/articles/539/539467p1.html?fromint=1#), and a Best-of DVD coming down the pike as well.
Heck, Fox is even using the show as counter-programming opposite the Olympics, airing two mini-marathons of episodes over the next two Wednesdays (8/18 and 8/25) beginning at 8:00pm EST.
We had a chance to catch up with series creator (and voice of Peter, Stewie, and Brian) Seth MacFarlane about this, that, and the other thing…
