So this was an adventure, to say the least.

A buddy of mine referred me to this contest well nigh a month ago, and I decided to go along with him and make something roughly within the guidelines both for practice and to keep him company. I didn't have much faith in my modelling technique, so I never really expected to finish, much less post anything. As things worked out, it turned out better than expected and Carl twisted my thumbs until I agreed to finish up and post. And here we are.

The best part of the month I spent modelling the beast. It's my first organic critter, and as such I made many silly mistakes along the way. This is the bit I'd most like opinions on.

The metallic end has its own set of amusing stories (such as the quarter-million screw polygons that slipped by me) but took much less time and I was rushed particularlly on the left side of the body.

Any comments will most definately be appreciated, as I'm still trying to get a good grasp on Maya.
