Why is the head blurred? Is'nt the focal point of spawn almost always his face?

nice job, i like the technique, but i think your composition is lacking a bit.

also some porportions are off as well
ie: wings seem to small.

and like neil said i think blurring the head makes viewers think that maybe you couldnt draw it?

HAH!... dont want to sound cocky here.. but Like i said i wasnt looking for crits. Becasue i am Well aware of these problems. The head is blury because well I made it blury it just didnt look good when it was sharp. And about the composition problem, Im way ahead of you. This image was made on the go. Wasnt even planned. Was just painting what hwas comming to my mind. This painting in my opinion is crappy and far far far from being good.

dont worry i tried putting the head in and it wasnt because i couldnt paint it . Anyways for my personal taste i liked bluring the head and putting it into shadows. And again. i didnt really like painting this. Its not my usual stuff that i paint and it just just boring. I learnt alot and im not doing this kind og thing again hah!.

This is MY interpretation of the character. Its based on it but its not suppose to be 10000000% exactly like it. Sooo Proportions were up to me. It was my choice to make the wings small. I just did this painting the way i liked it. I didnt care if the character had spikes , or big wings or whatever he had that i didnt put in. Just me painting and doing my own thing

Cool. Different way of representing Spawn. Would be nice to see what you do with this guy next. The second image is better! Not crtitiquing it though.
