Hey there,

Ive run into a little bind - I have an after effects comp that Id like to export, but as a vector file (so, Illustrator AI, EPS, SWF etc). Im aware after effects has an 'export to swf' option, but that things a sneaky little cheat. It doesnt vectorize the animation, it simply rasterizes the frames and stitches them together in a series on bitmap frames.

Is there any way at all to get vector files exported? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Ken

Well... I have no facts to back this up, but I'd say that there's no way to get AE to render to vector formats. After all, how exactly should it be done, AE being pixel-based and all?

Your best bet is probably to render to bitmaps and later use some bitmap to vector tool to convert them.
