View Full Version : Greg Stovell - Animation Session 9 - pole vaulting
the Rev. 08-17-2004, 03:17 PM I'm in. Imagine a pole-vault event turned into a catapult-like accident.
I'll do some storyboarding and post it tonight.
<edit> I just saw there's another pole vaulter here. Should sports not be repeated? let me know and I'll chnage it to a different sport </edit>

Here's a quick pose test with MB's sample ninja model. I may keep it for this one, it has a wonderful rig!

Newb animator here... (so not much competition from me:))
can someone critique this run cycle? Do bear in mind that pole vaulters run without leaning forward too much. I'd love to have an extra pair of animator's eyes here...
Here (http://www.firstprescaldwell.org/greg/untitled.mov)
go ahead and loop it...
Hey rev. I know that vaulters don't lean forward much....my question is are you going for realistic? I'll crit once you answer that....I can say that there isn't much in side to side motion and the arms and legs feel really stiff to me right now....lack of weight? Keep going man:)
