My question now is: i have 2 passes: one is the actual render of the car with reflections and such and the other one is a dirt map pass; i render the first one, then the second one, and how do i combine what i get ??? Please, try to be specific in your answer.

But, is there a way to combine 2 materials (dirtmap and phong) so that itll render all them cool shadows of dirtmap and be still volumetic, instead of just a plain color with shadows. I hope u know what i'm asking. Basically, what i want is a phong material which will use the dirtmap effect, u know ?

If I understand what you're saying, you'll have a look at the Rendermap functionallity in XSI.
