Title: Batteries City Trip
Name: Pensart Guy
Country: Belgium
Software: Lightwave 3d
Hi there,
Here is an illustration i made for a local commercial bureau.
Used in a folder to win a city trip when buying these nice batteries.
Made with Lightwave 3D v.8.0 on osx.
And a little photoshop for enhancement.
Please critique.

heh, that's pretty good!
I like the way you incorporated the prize and the product into one element.
I love the texture on that derby hat - perfect! -
however the suitcase handle on the 9v battery seems like it's not connected. the lack of any shadow cast by it is causing that effect.
otherwise, great illustration! I'd like to see the rest of the piece this goes into.

Thanks for the kind words.
The only lightning is cast by a hdri map and global illumination (background).
That is the reason of the lack of shadow on the suitcase, should have used a light to produce some extra shadow :( or a mix GI and some lights.
There will be no schadow on the ground since there is no ground.
The dark grey background will be replaced in the final folder.
The texture on the head is pure procedural texture.
Main color: 020 020 020
Procedural texture: Turbulent noise
texture color: 044 044 044
Increment: 0,5
Lacunarity: 2,0
Octaves 6,0
Noise type: Perlin Noise
All regards,
Pensart
Very Nice. Sleek and Clean presentation. I'd add a background lightning show of some sorts to really jazz up the overall effect.
