Hello,

I'm trying out the new demo of Foundation. I'm having trouble importing nurb based iges files from AmapiPro to XSI. The shape is simple, somewhat like a hard edged lima bean.

Anyways I created a new project in XSI and saved it, then tried to import the iges file and it crashes XSI every time. I can open the iges file in Rhino then save it as a 143 type iges file. XSI is happy with the file from Rhino.

Could someone point me in the capabilites of the iges import.

I've experienced the exact same (non)functionality. Did you ever figure it out?

I'm trying to import iges files from Solid Edge but either get a nice null object or a quick system crash. This isn't the workflow I was hoping for!!

As iges files work fine both importing and exporting with Solid Edge I don't understand why it won't work. I don't think that I should need to buy Rhino just to be able to import iges files to XSI.
