Hi all. I'm a newbie to Cinema 4d and 3d in general. I've been having probems using the knifing tool with hypernurbs or round objects in general. It seems that whenever I knife a rounded object, the smoothness of the object goes out of whack. The new Polygons formed, create a sort of a lip or protusion from the once smooth object. The closer I knife to an edge of a polygone, the stronger the protrusion is. Likewise, If I'm working on a symmetry object within a hypernurb, using the subdivide command creates lip protrusions at the plane of symmetry. Can anyone help with maintaining the original smoothness after subdividing or knifing? Thanks alll.
