Another serious issue for Mayans.
Make a circle (which is apparently not a real curve).
Make a curve, and close it (circle like being closed and all).
The circle is inside the curve.
Select curve and then circle. (the correct order required by BevelPlus)
Choose Bevel Plus (Maya 6)
Error occurs.
// Error: bevelPlus1 (Bevel Plus Node): The first curve must be outside other curves //
WRONG!?! should say Error: bug ID#????? rebate available

Now try to make a curve like a circle (perfection impossible), in proxy of the perfect circle.
repeat selection, and execution of BevelPlus, and the correct object is created okay (except for none perfect circle issue, time=money wasted etc.).

Questions: besides the obvious "Why is Maya bogus, and incapable of realizing their circle is not a curve compatible with 'Bevel Plus' and whatever else and providing some kind of solution?"
How can I get a circle that will work with curves in Bevel Plus (because I like the caps and all)?
Tried looking at importing from Illustrator either? no real circle tool seems ridiculous anyway.
Also tried convert, rebuild, you name it could not find a solution, any suggestions? you tested that proved to work.

hmm don't have Maya on this machine but can't you open/close curve under nurbs curves menu? i know you probably tried it, if it makes you feel better i spent 5 hours yesterday trying to get the extrude tool to work properly (after 4 years on Maya). luck

works ok for me, ...eventually. I got it to work by making sure the curves have same amount of cvs, grouping the curves together and then rotating them 90 degrees on the X (so they are essentially standing up) and then bevel plus. If i do exactly the same without the rotation however it doesnt work. How screwy is that?
