VOLUMELIGHT reveals OPACITYMAPS?

I made a PLANE and added a PICTURE of leaf on it.Then I added OPACITYMAP for that leaf picture.

So everything worked fine, the plane disappeard and only the LEAF was visible..

But when I add VOLUMELIGHT into scene, the PLANE shows up again!!WHY??

I had same problem when using FOG in that same scene, but then the solve was turning that FOG into EXPONENTIAL mode(what ever that means?)

Can somebody help me with this?

ok try these things...

-instead of using a bitmap in the opacity slot us a maks map in the diffuse with the bitmap and the mask...

-set your light to "raytraced shadows"

As far as I know, volume lights don't respect transparent regions on materials, I have no idea why Discreet hasn't corrected this
