View Full Version : Manual for a real beginner?
wulfie 08-13-2004, 06:21 AM I just got Messiah Animate 5.0. Am excited to learn this new program. I am a real beginner though. Is there a printed manual? As a Lightwave user I looked for the Messiah plugin under the deform tab of the object properties. Is that something I need to add in Lightwave?
Thank you way ahead of time for any help I can get up and running!

Hi wulfie,
there is no printed manual, only the help file. In the 'General Info' section of that file there is a chapter about using messiah with other apps, that should help.

I'd suggest loading up messiah:animate as a stand alone app and learn from there first.
Go through the basic interface stuff first, load up all the example scenes and get a 'feel' for messiah:animate, then you can worry about connecting/sending your animation to LW down the track.

Thank you so much for your replies to my post.
Just where is the help file....or the general information. I agree getting a feel for Messiah is best as a stand-alone app. I managed to load a tutorial.....locate wireframe, bounding box settings etc. But little things like changing views...top side camera etc and making a keyframe I haven't found yet. Sometimes it's just a little thing like the alt key or the right mouse button but if you don't know you don't know.
Thanks again for your help!!!!

Just look for a file called 'messiah_docs.chm' in the messiah/docs folder.

Just look for a file called 'messiah_docs.chm' in the messiah/docs folder.Or use the File tab right-click context menu.
