umm with the new 6800/6600's and thier ability to run with 2 (sli), gave me a question. i havent seen any boards that have 2 pci-e slots running at 16 lanes each, its either 16 lanes slot, and a 4 lane slot, or a 16l slot and an 8l slot, will these mobos work with an sli configuration? or is there some board i havent discovered yet that has 2 pci-e 16 slots? and if you put 2 cards in and run them in sli, wouldnt one run slower than the other on the faster pci-e slot? wouldnt that just screw the whole theory of sli?

actually, I heard that there is only a single board that features two Pci-e slots, and its something like a dual Xeon server board.. something like that...

anyway, I seriously think that we won’t be seeing any SLI cards for quite a while, there isn't a single board with dual AGP, and good luck finding a dual Pci-e board...

and according to toms hardware, the difference between AGP 8X and Pci-e is about the same as AGP 4x to AGP 8x...

NVidia isn't even making true Pci-e cards yet, they are AGP cards with converters attached... which isn't a bad idea, they don't want to produce two separate cards, AGP and Pci-e, so making a single card, and throwing an adapter on, makes sence.

They are waiting to see how fast the market moves to Pci-e

Fun to look forward to.. but I doubt we will see them anytime soon =)
