here is what I found out from Sasha at Maxon US...

the core R9 is $695.00
upgrade from R8.2XL to R9 $595.00
upgrade from SudentXL to Commercial XL $1295.00
upgrade from 8.2 core to R9 core $295.00
upgrade AR from R1 to R2 $195.00
student R9XL is $295.00

oh.. I called at 1730 hrs central .. 1530 California (2330 GMT)
