View Full Version : Still: mp3 dj player
Ang3l 08-03-2002, 04:23 PM Since I just registered I figured I'd post a couple images of my graduation project as an introduction.
There was quite some time-pressure when finishing these images, but I'm still fairly happy with them.
The product is an mp3 player for deejaying purposes.

Dude, I want one!!!
Good design, decent render. Not too dynamic or painterly, but I figure that's not what you're going for, but a nice presentation. You could have put in some better speakers, like those powered Mackies...
BTW when is this hitting the market?

Nice!
But seems a little flat.
I mean it seems you have used lots of textures instead of
modeling.
specially the speakers.

yea..it definatly needs some specular on there, to flat. If this was a concept model, I would not be sure if those are buttons or they are screens. Nice work though.

Component & Technical Renders are awesome.
Is that "motherboard" fully modeled, or that's just a texture?

kleer001: I don't think there's a big chance of ever being able to buy this thing, but you never know :) Anyway, its always nice to hear people like the product.
sepehr: The speakers are indeed just cubes with a texture. They were not part of the actual design so they were just added quickly.
wyktor: The motherboard (and other circuit boards) were textured since they are not part of the design. (and because I have no electronical engineering skills ;))
The rest of the geometry was modeled though. I'll see if I can get some wireframes up tomorrow.

I love it, its like an ipod on roids, was this a concept of your own or were you workingit up for someone else? I love the presentation all it needed was a wire.

Danoku: yes, this is my own design. Since I graduated as a product designer, the concept is actually more important than the visualisations ;)
Okay, as promised, here are a couple wireframes:

Great job... I think the motherboard pic is great. -- Makes me want to try the same. :)
