Is there a plugin for the Open EXR format for XSI V4?

Thanks

Same question here :-)
The image file formats seem to be quite limited. I had high hopes to see .rpf as well...

I would have thought someone ported it to XSI since ILM is a major Softimage user.

heh if ILM wanted XSI to do something they probably had a programer do it for them...

Its not a Softimage thing. It is a Mental Ray thing, I believe.

Once MR supports EXR, I am sure Soft will expose it in the interface.

Of course I could be wrong, I dont work on rendering that much.

As far as I know OpenEXR is already supported by mental ray, but not exposed in XSI. Could be wrong though.

As for rpf, it is not supported by mental ray, so no chance in hell to see that in XSI.

Mental Ray 3.3 supports OpenExr, Soft just needs to implement it... and you know soft.:)

That would be good. I use Digital Fusion and Lightwave so I have been using OpenEXR for some time now.
