Hi there

Im thinking about getting a new workstation and I have been looking into http://www.monarchcomputer.com/

Does anyone have any experience with them?

Im living in the UK (london) and Im wondering if the can deliver there? If so at what cost? I cant seem to find too much info about this on their website...

If they dont deliver here at all, does anyone know a similar website for us in the UK? Ive been looking around a bit and cant seem to find a decent place that has such as wide range of highend dual machines as monarch does, also most places doesnt seem to be able to build the computer for you.

Thanks in advance

Monarch is first rate... I have bought 3 workstations from them now, and they are wonderful. Check out their ratings on resellerratings.com.

Not sure if they ship outside the states though. A quick email to them should be able to clear that up.

Well that's unordinary... perhaps it's time for a follow-up.

They have always responded to me in a few hours (if that).

If buying from U.S, how much would import tax cost?

For reliability though, Boxx workstations do have resellers here in UK so it shouldnt be a problem with them. Im looking into Alienware and Demonite workstations myself (All in UK), but havent made up my mind which yet.

Boxx seems GREAT, but Ive compared some prices and they seem quite expensive to me, thats why I was looking for a site like monarchcomputer in the UK.

There has to be one :)

Someone tell me what the equivalent of http://www.monarchcomputer.com is for the UK??

Yea i know what you mean, i guess the only way down here in UK is emailing individual companies quoting them on how much than can build your particular system.

Wurp, guess you're just gonna have to move to the States... I got some room in my garage that we can convert into a nice little flat with broadband, cable and heat. We'll be able to setup a decent little XSI renderfarm tho. :)

Cheers and good luck...

eheh, thanks for the offer but I think I'll stick to london for a while :)

Anyway, I found this website here: http://www.overclock.co.uk/customer/home.php

They build custom computers and they seem to have a very good range of components. I will investigate further and let you know if I find anything new :)

check out http://www.alternate.net

They ship normally to all european countries, but UK was not on the list. However, you might give them a ring +49 (0)6403 / 9050 3150.
