She doesn't seem to be using all the 5000 polys very efficiently... You should be able to cram more modeled details in there. Got a wireframe?

Yeah you are probably right...I've seen better characters under the 3000 triangles...
First of all, I put many polygons in the hands that got 500 triangles each...Most of the character I've seen don't have full modelled fingers....I just wanted to make a high res version of my hand in case we would use close ups and I was thinking of making lighter hands for normal game shots. Same for the mouth...she has jaw and a tongue in the mouth that cost many polygons that could be trashed for the in game model...

Don't worry, I put some time thinking about the details and their importance level on this character...

that's a good point about the hands, once you model out all ten fingers it's quite a surprise when you check the poly count again. But for close-up animations like you said, they're absolutely crucial
