I've got a city scene that I've built in Maya. I requires some dramatic fog that is going to drown out many of the buildings in the background.
I want to render this in Mental Ray. I've been looking into creating the fog using a parti_volume shader and asigning it to a geometric primitive that encompasses the entire city...but I don't quite know what I'm doing. Am I heading down the right road and does anyone have any tutorials or tips on how to create this?
