...directed at Fahrez, but if any of you know the answer I'd love to hear it. It's not a really important question, but I was just wondering if places like JourneyEd carry inventory or whether they purchase on a per-software basis from A|W. Maya seems a bit expensive to carry on the shelf, but if they are just a third-party between the customer and A|W, why don't people buy direct from Alias?

alias does not directly sell their software.
at least that has been in the past. from what i have heard from some resellers, they changed their behaviour and pissed of a lot of resellers..

I bought my copy from www.onevideo.net and was told I would have to wait 14 days until I got it because the reseller orders it from A|W then forwards it on to the customer.
