View Full Version : Blend shapes question

what do i have to do in order to make a head of a character stay in its place when i morph it to a blend shape, after moving the body into another pose?
The body has a rigid binding, and what i get is that the head morphs back to its original transformations.
Was that clear?

make sure, that your blendshape is before the skinning node in the history. to fix this right click on the object choose imputs - complete list and move the blendshape with the middle mouse button.

i guess it's again the deformation order. select the head and in the status list click on one of the arrows for the history. select complete list. the list reads from bottom to top. so the blendshape should come before the skinning. so that it reads like this :
please maya do first the blendshape and deform the motuh to an A and then look at the skin clusters and deform the blenshaped "A" Head to the desired pos :)
you can change the order by simply middle mouse drag the positions.
