Hi,
I'm having a real problem with the zoom button in the perpective view. When I zoom in perspective view the screen stutters, however in the orthographic views zooming is smooth. Anyone know why?

It's just kind of the way it is. That's why I use orthographic views most of the time. It also depends on your unit setup. If you're making really small objects the perspective view doesn't work as well. Set the units to something small like inches or centimeters and make your objects hundreds of those units big, as opposed to using meters and making a 3 meter character because then it's only 3 units big. Max doesn't care what you're measurement setup is, it still thinks of everything as basic units. Hope that makes sense. Basically the bigger something is, the better the perspective view works.

Or it could be a driver issue. If you're using OpenGL, switch to DirectX and vice versa. See if that helps.

Thanks FatAssasin!
That did it!!!!
I increased the model height from .1 inches to 5' 11" and the view zoom is alot better.
