View Full Version : Sub_Forums?
I am going to try and have some Sub-Forums created for this little corner of the web.
Lyle suggested one for "Shaders".
I'm thinking "Rigging" might be good.
Maybe "Programming"?
Suggestions?

Those 3 sound great to me.
A nice subforum that another software forum has, is a "How i did it".
Users post a muscle rig, a render etc, and show briefly or more detailed on how they accomplished their stuff, pretty cool if u ask me, we can trade very cool info this way.

I think Shaders and programming can kinda go hand and hand as its usual Thomas area unless the conversation get to the point where they need to be split. start off small then expand.
The Gallery is closed, do u know that?

I took a gander a the other software forums and compiled a list of what *may* be good for the messiah forum:
- Resources, Tips, & Hints (all resource links, advanced & beginner tips & hints)
- Tutorials (general messiah tutorials)
- Shading (discussions about using the shaderflow to create specific materials)
- Programming & Scripting (encompasses all messiah API's and supported scripting languages)
What say you?

I think people would want to program more than just shaders. I'm thinking expressions, python scripts etc.
The Gallery is supposed to be closed. Or I'd have to weed out a thousand of these. . .
HOLY CRAP YOU ROOL!!!!!! :bounce::bounce::buttrock::applause::bowdown::bowdown::bowdown::bowdown:
Every day.
Wegg,
We should also come up with some kind of posting rules also. Especially for gallery entries. So the the threads don't get out of control like they currently are.
I'll try and come up with some ideas.

Well the rules are pretty simple for the gallery in my mind. If you and I like an image. . . we post it in there. Its not open for anyone like before. That ended up being a can of worms. Interesting worms. . . unrelated interesting worms. . . but still worms. Lots of them. From a can. . . that had just been opened.

I'd say that is a good segmentation, but I would add the Rigging sub-forum Wegg proposed, too.
