View Full Version : July Challenge Deadline and submissions info

Hi gang, it's that time again.

The official deadline is August 4TH, 2002 - MIDNIGHT EST TIME this gives pretty much everyone across the globe a full day to finalise their entries at that time...

as for the submissions, the current thumbnail page will be the basis for your votes, there will be no need to send your images anywhere so this is what is needed.

- All you have to do is put your final composition in your thread, then send me a copy of your final image with your info as stated in the following thread

this is if I decide to waive voting for this month until the middle of August when the new system is up...

- all challengers that wish to be considered for voting
MUST SUBMIT THEIR 3D/2D THUMBNAILS HERE (http://www.cgtalk.com/challenges/cgc_july_thumbs) (please read the text on top)

- if your entry is not on this page by the end of the challenge it WILL not be included in the voting list

- At this point I'm undecided about the voting, I may just wait till the middle of the month when the new voting system is live, this will take tremendous strain off my poor mouse clicking finger ;) (what do you guys think use the old system for now or would you rather wait?)

Well as far as using the old system now or using the new system in 2 weeks, basically I say whatever is easier for you Lil'd. I don't enter these challenges for the compitition, I enter for the personal challenge. Although seeing how I stack up against the other members of the challenge is fun and a nice ego boost. It's not why I do these challenges. Waiting 2 weeks wouldn't hurt me at all.

What ever works for you my man. :cool:

I agree with ZrO-1. The actual voting doesn't mean as much as the challenge itself. That's why I always model to a certain point and then give up... :D

Nah, whatever is easiest for Lil'Drag'n.....you the boss man!

Oh, does it also mean I should submit a pic when I submitted my info (Email..real name..etc..)??? I have done so on the thumbs post..

Well, I don't mind waiting, it would be cOoL seeing this new system.

--> --> I just got one question, if you are planning to change the color of the background page for our thumbnail slots or final pieces page, then could you please email me a small thumbnail of what that color is. I would hate to see my colors clash :argh: :argh:

hi im confused... when do these have to be done by?
midnight when it actually turns the august 4th? thats tonight then? or is it august 4th midnight? like 11:59 on august 4th... sorry ive never entered before.. i dont think im gonna make the deadline this time *which was my first*:hmm:

Ah I think he meant end-of-the-4th or end-of-the-3rd..that'd be a big difference..


Not that it makes a diff for my poor guy..bloody work..sigh.

oh boy! i will continue to go full steam ahead then! i mgiht finish! :p sorry for asking in such a weird way.. i was confused but no longer :) this takes alittle of the pressure off.. great .. thanks again so right before the end of the 4th you will have my entry !
