I'm very new to Maya. I'm starting to make an claymation-like animation. Right now, shading is my main challange as I found it very complicated. Is there any references or tutorials talk about how to make plasticine like shader?

Hi guys
I have been trying to achieve procedural Clay in Maya by following Chico's path step by step. Not very lucky, unforetunately. I know that lighting is also very important in getting such a look but still the material is not working properly at all. Have any one of you been successful ? Any tips are really appreciated.
