hi there, how can i render reflections so that i can later composite them? i mean, i have an object, for example a sphere, lying on a reflective surface. i want to get a render of only the reflection. im using a matteShadow material for the reflective surface, with a raytrace map in the reflection slot. the problem is, when i render to elements, the reflection image is ok, but the alpha will be only from the real sphere (not the reflected one).
so how should i do to get a render, with ONLY the reflected sphere and ONLY its alpha?
