This image was based upon photographs of an actual street scene. I have embelished certain aspects like textures and lighting. Many of the textures are procedurals created in DarkTrees and further enhanced in Photoshop. All the geometry was created in Max. Some post work with animated blinking lights was done in Combustion(orange "A" frame lights). Glows attached to the street lights were done in Bustion. Those affects are not in this still. Feedback of course welcome, thanks, drew

I think you need to go back and take a look at your lighting setup. Here are a few things that jump right out at me.

1) The lights in the wall. the light cone coming down looks like it's from a spot that's right up against the wall rather than the overhead lights.

2) There seems to be a "phantom" light coming in from the left side, and illuminating the blockaids on in the left of your frame.

You also need to take into consideration bounce light. You need to add lights in to help simulate this effect. light bounces off even blacktop to some degree.

It's a good start, and the textures look pretty nice, but the lighting really needs to be tightened up.

keep up the good work :)

By bounce light, do you mean radiosity?

Lights from across the street affect the scene. Drew
