Not sure how many of you are familiar with Samurai Champloo, but this is a study I did for one of the main characters, Mugen. Samurai Champloo is made by the same director of Cowboy Bebop and I highly recommend it to everyone!

All done in pencil, just changed the hue in Photoshop. http://forums.adventchildren.net/html/emoticons/smile.gif
I'm starting a piece with Mugen that has more of that Mugen attitude embedded within it.

Are you doing it in y our own style? That's pretty damn cool. I really like how all your lines are sharp. It gives an edge to it.

This is just a realistic interpretation of the character. It is also just a study, so that will explain the the reason for why the image is so static. :P I am impatiently waiting for episode 8, as well.

Any other comments/ critiques? :D

Really nice ... reminds me of ninja boy from dc comics ... cool style .

that's cool, i like your style of sketching... yeah definitely a very realistic approach to it. would love to see more stuff of yours.. are you currently working as a concept designer?

Nice! Looks like a fresh new Ronin to me !!! Feels like this guy has lost everything !!! Dunno if this is what you wanted to make, but by the way the character looks very great! Good job!

thanks to all. the guy is upposed to be a crazy jackass-type samurai.

i'm trying to coordinate the scene. it's supposed to show the main character, some samurai/ yakuza catching mugen stealing their food (he does that often in the anime), so the yakuza people throw down their sword by his hand and they're all looking at him with upset faces and mugen is just kind of grimacing, cause he doesnt give a crap:)
