Hi! This looks like a nice enough forum, so I thought I'd join the fun. The dimensions of my work are limited to 2d, though, but I guess that's OK in the 2d section.

The best way to introduce myself is probably by showing some of my work, so here's my newest-and-therefore-most-favourite piece:

I used Photoshop 5.5 for this. Version 6 and 7 do not make me happy. I hope the colours look like they're supposed to, because my monitor sucks.

That will be all for now. Thank you.

I like it
But I don't like the way the space ends, maybe make it a rectangular or circular border, but leave the cape overlapping like it is now?

Hmmm... A rectangle with some sketchy lines may very well be a good idea. But not a circle... I think that would make it look too synthetic. Thanks!

You're right, cos space is never-ending after all. Plus the planets are circular and it would probably look weird to have a circular border as well.

He this is good work!

Maybe try to use a darker tone of the basic color for shading, instead of painting plain black on it. It will kick some more life in the colors.

Good work, welcome and keep posting

Thanks, that sounds like it's worth a try. I'll have to get a new monitor first, though, dark tones are indistinguishable on my current... wreck. :(

Welcome to the forum. We'll definately want to see more work from you when you get your monitor fixed. This is good stuff.

Very beautiful looking face you have here. I kinda' like how the shading is done. It has a good comicbook feel to it. I think it would have been nice if you would have shown her hand holding the planet against her chest though.

The big cape just hides from the viewer additional info reguarding the character. You get little sense of character because we can't see a costume or any other part of the body except for the head.

Anyway ... More More More
