View Full Version : Dual Display - with dual cards - maya5

hi this is my 1st time
and i have questions - i am using maya 5 - and had a 64 mb nvidia card - i got a 128 mb visiontek display card - now - i have to display cards and 2 monitors - alls fine - maya installs well without the new display card and works well too - BUT the moment i connect the new card - maya does not run - it shows me that its loading everything - but then it gives me a maya script editor window - which gives a few error

i really dont know what to do - everything else run just fine - its just maya - that does not work

Could you post what errors the script editor comes up with?

you might have to change which card is the primary one in the BIOS. just stabbing...

vki77, like carakong already stated, we need more info about the errors so that we could help you.
For me seems like maya is not satisfied with the OGL hw overlay, it is missing or currently not working. Happens on my linux box when I am working in a restricted ogl environment and maya has not full access to ogl resources. Thats my closest hunch for now. Would be interested to know what is causing this tho ;)
