Hi CgEye,
- Does this happen with a particular scene file or all files?
- If it's just a particular file, then please email me the file.
- If it's all files, then try the following ....
- Are you using any custom MEL scripts that might be overriding
the renderglobals?
To check, in the script editor, type:
whatIs renderGlobalsWindow
- If it tells you that it's in a file whose location is elsewhere from
your Maya installation directory, try moving the file aside.
- If that doesn't solve your problem, exit Maya and then try
moving your prefs directory aside (located in your personal
maya directory) - ie: rename it to something like "prefs.saved".
- Start Maya again and see if you still have that problem.
- If the problem is gone now, there is a problem with your
preferences. Please email me your entire prefs directory (in a
zipped file) or log a bug via our website and we'll look into it or
you can call A|W Technical Support who will be able to help you
further.
Hope this helps.

Ah ... that might be the cause of your problem.
mental ray for Maya 1.0 requires Maya 4.
