Hehe! I haven't seen work like this since I air brushed T's 6 years ago! You nee a better and darker defining outline (maybe a cobalt blue outline, the red is overpowering the blue (which doesn't scan very well, which is why comic artists "blue line" before inking).
Very cool, some of the airbrush "hood-style" lettering I did (we had hand made alphabets drawn by the can-sprayers in downtown chicago) were so obtuse you couldn't even read it. But this I can read at least
which doesn't scan very well, which is why comic artists "blue line" before inking
What are blue lines? Sounds interesting.
And do you have some graffiti work to show?
Non-photo blue lead is used by many artists to draw with (not only limited to the comics pros). It's a blue colored lead (instead of graphite) that usually doesn't show up well with a photocopy, photograph or scan. You can find it at most art or office supply stores. It comes as either a regular pencil that you have to sharpen or as lead refills for mechanical pencils.
I hardly ever use a graphite pencil anymore since discovering this wonderful item. :buttrock:
Yeah, I use blue lead too these days. Takes some getting used to, though. The blue fills have a lot more friction on the paper than graphite does, so in the beginning I kept breaking them. :hmm:

OKAY I just made this one special for this thread.
THIS IS REALLY BASIC GRAFITTI..the most popular in the '90s
First let me say i did do this digitaly in Painter with the airbrush, now I didin't use any "digital" advantages to sweeten it up, just raw fast drawing and gritty airbrush spraying, no straight edges (want to keep it looking authentic), I did stencil becasue we did have loose stencils for masking off behind things. But everything is by hand in 15 minutes, sooooo you'll see mistakes and oversprays jsut like the real thing you would get at a "Theme Park" on a T-Shirt.
Oh yeah, wait 20 minutes before you ride any of the water rides or it will run! After that its permanent.
Actually you can do something like this and print it out on a transfer sheet and iron it on a shirt...but I use to do 4XXL T's and cover the whole thing, but tehn i usually got like $25-35 per shirt and do like 23 shirts in a 10 hour day. Oh the days of money and no responsibilities :airguitar

i have never understood grafitti.
What's so hard to understand? It's just letters with decoration.

Well as far as tee-shirts with names and such (don't forget the hearts with lovers names on Haiwiian (sp) beach scene), its about advertising your identity, your style and who you are, rather than wearing a corperate identity shirt (Nike, Adidas..etc..). And Grafitti just speaks loudly, bold and big.
As far as more, not unless I make it. I use to have photographs of my stuff, but were talkin 12 years ago...
However you can get more info here:

Its a great magazine and was our bible in design and style at that time.
Thanks, glad you like it :)
