Dosn't SubD work with MentalRay????

it doesn't show up in my render

yes mentalray doesnt render SubDs

i was reading somthing in the help files about converting subd into triangles
just check the help files and u ll get it .

Hi sampi,

subD's are currently not supported in mental ray for Maya.

However, if you need to get your scene rendered out,
you can convert them to Polys first.

You can do this by choosing:

Modify -> Convert -> Subdiv's to Polys.
