View Full Version : rendering error
deivys20 07-27-2004, 01:43 PM guys since yesterday I have been trying to render a heavy scene that I have and everytime I try I get this error and xsi 4.0 crashes.
Cannot star thread 10 not enough storage is available to process this command.
No matter what I do, it still crashes. I put the objects in separate layers and it still crashed. I play with the settings in the render menu and noting. How do I go about fixing this?

I not sure about the poly count but I am positive is more than 1000 polys. Also, what do u mean by hair. Are u talking about hair on characters? If yes, no I dont have any characters. If u mean something else, I dont know because I am new to xsi.
Hello, my first post here...
I had/have the exact same problem, but I partially solved it by setting the memory use of the renderer to "512mb Mental Ray", instead of 256mb or Unlimited. I also updated my graphics drivers. The thing is; I still get crashes. When the scene gets close to 300mb, the software is really really sensitive...
