you should have modeled him with his arms lower, elbows bent and the plams of the hand should be down. the hand should be modeled as if he was holding a 6 inch ball, or a CD. back of heel should be bigger and rounder.your croch comes to a single point;it shouldn't, give the guy a "package." You have already spent a ton of polys, why dont you give him a wrist bone. love.

it looks like you have used alot of poly's making small details in the chest
that can be used better somewhere else like in the legs and arms, especialy the arms.
they look like cylinders now. the boots can also use some work
post a wire

not bad for a first try...I think with time and a little more detail, it can be a great first character...
listen to the others here..they know their stuff..
I would definitely look at putting some polies in other places to help out the areas that will deform (knees, elbows, armpits).
check this out..this may help..

So, what yereviltwin is saying is to model the chars in a more relaxed pose? I usually go with the T stance myself, at least at first, then move the arms down, but i was just doing that to fit the unreal tournament biped.
I have trouble rigging and getting my chars to animate nicely, so anyhelp is nice hehe.
Srry to hijack, but i guess its relevant to the thread still :P
