My geometry keeps disappearing after a boolean operation.

It tells me the the geometry is non-manifold, I've looked in online help files and I have found a reference to this problem but not even a single word on what might be done to work around this.

Any ideas?

One of the geometry is polygons converted from SubDs
The other piece is either polygons or polygons converted from nurbs

there's a function in maya for cleaning up geometry-meshes ( polygons -> clean-up ! ) ... maybe you can fix your scene like this !

I've tried using the clean-up on every piece of geomtry used in the boolean, but it says that there is no geomtry needing to be fixed

which kind of boolean-operation did you try to apply, maybe you could post an image ? ( though i don't think that i can help )

Make sure the surfaces are closed volumes...
