please help!
i am trying to create a light beam that come down from the sky, and just before its hits the ground it bends and starts to fly around buildings and stuff, maybe splits up in to different beams.
i have been playing around with animating particles along a spline. which looks ok, but i would like to hear any
1) other ideas or methods
2) if i use particles should i use hardware of software renderer, and shader types or plug ins
it needs to look a bit like the DHL adverts but a bit softer edge/diffused light
any comments most welcome!
