View Full Version : Wings importing question
Tanor Geonn 07-21-2004, 04:28 AM I've used Wings for about a month and a half now, and am currently trying to import one of my better models to Strata 3D. However, I can't seem to get it to work right. Is there a way to import the smooth preview format, or am I better off just to try and redo my model so it looks better unsmoothed?

once in strata the model has to be converted to a mesh object....

I've actually tried all the different export options in Wings.

yea, maybe try exporting from Wings as vrml, opening up in Amapi, then saving as amapi and then opening that up in Strata... a bit of a work around I suppose, but it would appear to me that Strata CX doesn't work with imports and such the way it should, or for that matter the way they touted before CX was released... I don't see the native Wings import anywhere, and yet this was one of the key selling points as far as I was concerned... maybe I missed something lol

Ummm... Why not actually smooth the model before exporting from Wings3D?
