Is there a free LW hair plugin? I have not really had much experience with hair, it is for a rather hairy bee so not a huge amount of hairs and at the moment i am concidering using 2 point polies, should i avoid this and if so what should i use instead. It would be nice to know what the best is as well as if possible a freeware plugin.

thanks in advance

wich version of Lightwave are you using? Because Lightwave 7 has saslite included, a hairplugin that should come in quite handy for what you are trying to do!
Just add saslite under the object properties panel, under deformations. Then set it up to your liking. Also add the pixelfilter plugin under scene/image processing.
Good luck!

Thanks again it is working very well. I was wondering is there any way of altering the distribution with a UV map of density?
