Hi, there!
Whoa, it sure has been a long time since I´ve last posted something in here.
Exhaustion wouldn´t characterise my emotions fairly enough right now.
I´m completely dried up inside after this insane 3 years-long marathon.
The INFINITEENS, the superhero comic book project I started way, way, way back in the summer of 2001 (at the time tentativelly entitled Little People) is finally finished.......... and me with it.
I figure it´ll take me at least a week to get them creative engines repaired and restarted.
Eight chapters, 198 pages of blood, sweat and tears, from script to pencils, inks, colors and ´lettering´- if you can call that lettering- have finally been produced.
Yes, produced.
Not completed.
Because if there´s one constant in the universe, it´s the dissatisfaction all artists have toward their work.
As I read the printed pages (and especially the first chapters), I can identify at least two zillion things in desperate need of some serious tweaking, fine-tuning and, if all else fails, annihilation...…….... once my inner spark is back online, that is.
For now, I feel like celebrating.
Telling the adventures of Nadia, Luther, Beverly and Julian drained me but also pulled me into the story to a point where I started relating to these kids almost as if they were real people…. Which is a sign that either I´m way overdue for my medication or it´s time to consider undertaking another project.
Either way, it´s great to be back among the living.
I´ve missed the sun.
