CGTalk - Still: Lonely King

This is my older work, but I think it is the one of my best work and I thought I could post it here and hear your experienced opinions ;)
I love this game and I wanted to catch it little unusualy :D
It is done with Cinema 4D R8.5 with little postwork in Photoshop CS.
I hope you like it :rolleyes: :shrug:

whoa...surprising nobody's replied. Nothing to fault in you on. Lighting's fantastic, and so is texturing. Did you use procedural maps or actual textures for the chess pieces?

Thats sooo pretty. the light is beautiful. If I could muster one critique, twould be this: at such a close range in reality, one might be able to see the tiny spaces in between the squares of marble. y know?

Did you use procedural maps or actual textures for the chess pieces?
For the chess pieces I simply used bitmaps :thumbsup:
