According to several web sources including IGN, Superherohype and AICN... (though I'd wait for the Trades to announce it when.. if... official) Bryan Singer is the Director signed to take on Supes in 'Superman Returns'... and has inked his deal today.

Nice!! Lets hope so!

I hope this is true. I was really happy when they said McG will not direct it anymore.

McG shouldnt even be allowed to direct used car sales commercials let alone superman.

Hey, and Superman's image is so etched into peoples minds that they couldn't possibly justify dressing him entirely in black leather!

I approve!

OMG.I doubt Warner Brothers can do anything to destroy your favorite superhero that has not all ready been done to him before (everyone does remember Superman 4 don't they? Supergirl?)

I think this is just great... but I do admit that dealing with Super material is a delicate thing. Superman is like this icon on very strict rules and characteristics. Whoever takes this project is in for a big challenge...

Sort of like WETA doing Evangelion... Doing Superman is great... but with that comes super-trouble, hope they can take it

Hoi ... you leave Supergirl alone, so what if it was badly written and acted. It had Helen Slater in a tight blue outfit...... and if anyone here tells my daugther that I didn't really buy the DVD for her then I'm gonna have to get mad... :D

Richard.

They did a spectacular job at destroying the Exorcist.

I have to agree that WB tends to destroy thier properties, Batman-destroyed, Catwoman-please... just a matter of time before they finish off the JLA!

The suits need to stop screwing with creative. Common WB let the creatives do the creative stuff, will ya!
