Ok, need some help here. I'm new to modeling enviroments for videogames. First off i think i understand how the modeling works. For the most part the main mesh of the level is all one big piece, then there are other prefab objects that go around it but aren't connected. right?
So how do you texture that main piece of the level? Do you use repeating textures? How is it done?
Thanks for any help that can be given.

One of the best ways to learn about this is to open up a level in one of the game tools that ships with a game, like Unreal Ed, or I think Never Winter Nights has one, Max Payne is another. Unreal is nice because they have so much documentation, not sure about the others. Examine the levels the game creators have made, it's a good way to learn tricks of the trade.

Also check this section for information, particularly the stickies at the top...
