johnny_riptide: although a brilliant idea. I don't think websters dictionary can proporly pronounce someones name. I am sure it would screw up my last name : DiNicolas

haha.. I don't know how it would be written out..
the "o" does not sound like "oh!"
More like:
Dee-nik-alis the accent is on "Dee" :)

Ok let's try to make phonetics:p (not easy in english)
Bezier that's it in french !!
-"Be..." must be pronounced "bč" like a bay in english
-Then, "zier" -> zi of ZZTop before "Yes" without the "s"
-"Bay-Z-Yeah" !! That's it !
If it's not clear don't hesitate to reply !

Well... Maybe it is "bay-z-yeah", but I still call it "bezer" or [b e z ae: r].
Hmmm... What's the difference how we pronounce "bezier"?.. We'll write it as "bezier" on the net anyways. :D

Yeah, regardless of how it's pronounced we all know what it means. During times of frustration, when a handle is acting up, I fondly refer to them as Bastard Curves.
i have other pet names for them as well ;) :D
