THIS PLACE (http://members.shaw.ca/lightwavetutorials/Main_Menu.htm) would be a good start
Flay.com (http://flay.com) is also a must for any LWaver.
Also check out the sticky thread at the top of this forum for some specific recommendations.

btw:: Don't guess you would be in the Memphis area?

You'll get some nice links in this particular thread (http://www.cgtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=7226) , and below are those that I have personally followed and found them useful (mostly modelling):
1) Box modelling a Babylon 5 Spaceship (http://www.ap3d.com/betterspace/betterspace-tut-alex01.htm)
2) Subpatch: Ford Mustang (http://www.lwg3d.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=4936&highlight=mustang), lengthy but detailed.
3) Classic Wine Glass (http://www.tonyg.info/tutorials/LW6/Model/LW6_WineGlass_Part_One.htm), model, surface and lighting.
4) Modelling a Star War Droid (http://www.nickscott.fsnet.co.uk/Droidv2/Tutorial_Introduction.htm)
But you'll get many more from here (http://members.shaw.ca/lightwavetutorials/Main_Menu.htm), as stated by Fuzer.
Enjoy:)
